<p>The diaphragm-type distribution pump has top and bottom sections sealed to each other to form the body, the diaphragm (20) being clamped between them by means of its non-perforated flange, so as to form a closed chamber (22) between it and the top section. The volume of this chamber is varied by means of an actuating lever (26) bearing against the underside of the diaphragm and pivoting in the body. The lower part of the latter has an inlet port (36) leading from the fluid reservoir (34) to the joint face with the toip section, which has a hollowed-out-portion opposite it extending from the flange edge to the pump chamber. Thus the flange acts at this point as a flap valve opening upwards. There is also a delivery port in the upper section from the pump chamber to the upper side of the flange at another point, above a hollowed-out portion in the lower section allowing the flange to open downwards and the fluid to be discharged to atmosphere.</p> |
