<p>The inking ribbon guide is for use in a typewriter or similar machine, the two spools being spaced well apart. Near the spools and typing head the ribbon runs over guide and deflection rollers, causing it to run flat between opposite sides of the head over a large area varying in dimensions during movement of the latter. Near the rollers (2) transverse forces act constantly against the ribbon in opposite directions towards its centre (Q1, Q2). To the sides of the rollers there can be two guide pins (13, 14) perpendicular to the roller axes, the centre distance between the pins being equal to the width of the ribbon (5).</p> |
