The identication and addressing system, for telephone exchange peripherals, has its finding selectors (SW) and address selectors (AW) coupled together and remaining in their last adopted positions. A device (F) is provided to block recognition of dialling (AN). The address selectors are set to the wanted peripheral (PE) to which a command to actuate dialling to then allowed to take place. After release for dialling recognition a priority control is briefly blocked.
