The effluents may be waste liquors from the textile, paper or leather industry or from the manufacture of dyes or fluorescent brighteners, and may contain organic ionic substances such as anionic or cationic dyes, fluorescent brighteners, textile or dyeing assistants, surfactants, tannins or mixtures of such ionic substances. Examples of nitrogenous compounds are polyamides, polyamide polyamines, basic aminoplasts, epoxidized aliphatic polyamines and polyalkylene imines of MW 500 to 200,000.</p> |
