<p>The water channel is constructed from U-shaped metal sections, which are joined by bolts, rivets or solder, and may be provided with reinforcing ribs. Certain joints are supported in seats of the same shape as the sections so that they may be used as connecting pieces. The seat is fixed onto a C-shaped upright which fits telescopically into a slightly larger C-shaped upright which is anchored into the ground. The uprights are provided with slotted holes so that they can be bolted together when the height of the channel above the ground has been adjusted to that desired.</p> |
