<p>Dynamic lateral control is for electron beams, particularly the 'blue' beam, employed in colour TV tubes acting before the beams enter the deflection fields of the tube, overcoming problems associated with edge effects in the tube. The circuit minimises the power required to provide this lateral correction and consists of a short annulus carrying the three principal coils (7) and their scores (8). The design includes three further or auxiliary cores (9) in the annulus body (6). The cores are set parallel to the tube axis and extended to the level of the colour purity windings (4).</p> |
