The cooking pan (1) contains a sweeping arm (4) which is powered by an electric motor (2) and automatically turns over vegetables e.g. potatoes during boiling. The arm (4) occupiesa radial and horizontal position slightly above the base (5) of the pan, and acts in conjunction with a projection (12) of the pan wall (11). The electric motor (2) may be mounted on a horizontal support (10) spanning the lips of the pan, and the arm may be inclined relative to a pan radius (r). The free end (4a) of the arm just clears the wall projection (P) which should amount to half the vegetable size. The inclination of the arm causes vegetables to gravitate outwards, and as they encounter the projection (12) they are turned over by the arm.
|
