Single phase reactor transformer - has in=line magnetic columns and yokes made of wound bands to reduce vibration and noise

The single phase reactor transformer has two inline magnetic columns with longitudinal air gaps, windings and interconnecting end yokes. The yokes (3, 4) are made of bands wound about axes separated by the same distance that separates the two columns (1, 2). The height of each winding (dependent on the width of the band) is greater in the centre (7, 8) covering the corresponding column that at the edge (5, 6) covering the transformer windings (9, 10). Yokes and columns are held together by bolts (13, 14). The construction reduces vibration and noise and allows the whole yokq to be made in one piece.
