Hard and soft plastics foam seat - has base and armrests reinforced by wooden inserts and wooden frame

The sette or armchair has a core made of hard plastics foam (1) which can form the back and seat region, covered with a layer of soft plastics foam (4) in those parts in contact with the body of a person seated on it. The hard foam parts are reinforced by wooden inserts (2, 3). Some inserts (3) may reinforce an edge, and others (2) may form a frame which is embedded in the foam. They may be coated with adhesive. Slab shaped arm rests can similarly incorporate a frame and a separate piece. The frames are in the shape of an enclosed ring.
