<p>A method and a device such that inspection standards are registered through simple operation and the character quality inspection accuracy is improved. The inspection standard registering device is provided with a character model storing section (7) in which standard character models are stored in advance, a pattern matching executing section (11) which executes pattern matching between captured image data and the standard character models, allocates character models to character string image data, and finds character areas, a character position computing section (12) which computes the coordinates of the character areas as the character positions, an allocation judging section (15) which outputs the allocated character models and the computed character positions when the allocation is correct, and an inspecting standard registering section (6) which registers the allocated character models and computed character positions in an inspecting standard storing section (8).</p> |
