Mounted in an apparatus housing (4, 7, 8) through which the water flows, is a rotating container (6), into which the soluble material (26), for example a fertiliser, a plant-protection agent or a weedkiller, is introduced. The container (6) has a bottom (12) and a circumferential wall (11, 13) which are closed relative to the outside, and a cover (17) which has a central first orifice (18) and a plurality of second orifices (19). The circumferential wall (11, 13) forms, on the inside of the container (6), a bearing surface, against which the not yet dissolved material (26) is pressed as the result of the centrifugal force (Z) generated by the rotation of the container (6). The edge of each of the orifices (18, 19) in the cover (17) is at a distance from the bearing surface. Because the not yet dissolved material (26) is pressed against the bearing surface as a result of the centrifugal force (Z), only dissolved material (26), together with water (27) flowing in through the first orifice (18), can pass out of the container (6) through the second orifices (19). This ensures that only completely dissolved material (26) passes into the stream of water. <IMAGE> |
