The current sensor uses a circular ferro-magnetic core (1) with an air-gap (3), around the core is a winding (9) through which a primary current (lp) is passed. A Hall effect probe (3) is placed in the air-gap and a closed servo loop provides a measure of the voltage (VBF) representative of the primary current (lp). It has at the terminals of the Hall probe (3) and connected to the servo loop (5,9), an amplifier (4) which produces a voltage (VBO) which represents the magnetic induction in the airgap. In addition it also uses an adder (11) in which are summed the voltages (VBO, VBF) to produce an output voltage (Vs) proportional to the current (lp) in the primary winding.
|
