<p>A laryngeal cap (20, 120, 220) including an elongated tube having a diameter greater than an endotracheal tube (22) and adapted to pass thereover. The cap (20, 120, 220) has a distal end merging with an enlarged bell shaped skirt (26, 126, 226) adapted to cover the tracheal inlet and the epiglottis (14) in a patient's throat, thereby reducing aspiration of material within the trachea.</p> |
