NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [R1 represents H, halogen, methoxy, (substituted)vinyl or -CH2-A (A represents H, azide, acyloxy, etc.)]. EXAMPLE:(6R,7R)-7-[(Z)-2-(2-Aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-(1,5-dihydroxy-4-pyri don-2- ylmethoxyimino)acetamido]-3-(2-carboxy-5-methyl-s-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrim idin-7- ylthiomethyl)-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid. USE:An antibacterial agent against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria or an additive to feeds for animals. PREPARATION:A compound expressed by formula II (R2 represents H or amino- protecting group; R3 and R4 represent H or OH-protecting group) is reacted with a compound expressed by formula III (R5 represents H or carboxyl- protecting group) to form a compound expressed by formula IV, followed by deprotection, as necessary. |
