<p>Method of labelling organic substances contg. >=2 vicinal OH gps. or >=1 enolic OH gp. (esp. cell metabolites) with radioactive Tc comprises contacting the organic substance with a radioactive Tc cpd. and a reducing agent having a standard potential of O V in an alkaline soln. or alkaline buffer with a pH of 11-12. After the reaction, the soln. is adjusted to physiological pH by adding a physiologically tolerable acid or buffer. Method can be used to label alcohols, sugars, nucleosides, polysaccharides, hydroxylated fatty acids, and various drugs, etc., for medical or biochemical scintigraphic and/or autoradiographic investigations. High yields (90-99%) of the labelled substance can be obtd.</p> |
