<p>The silo is for the storage of granular or powdery material with a roof, a wall, and a funnel-shaped base supported by posts on a frame. The lower end of the base comprises a pair of rings (6, 7) of different diameters joined together by a number of inclined pipes (8), together with cladding (9) of flexible material running along the sides of the rings furthest from the points where they are joined to the pies, and along the sides of the pipes towards the inside of the funnel portion. The cladding is typically of rubber, with a reinforcing layer on the outside, the latter comprising three layers of rubber-impregnated plastics.</p> |
