PURPOSE:To prevent an abrasion powder being interposed between a pad and table by providing a demagnetizing means which feeds a reverse current to the iron cored coil of the megnet table located in the specific area of after feeding a positive current and which dissipates the residual magnetism of a magnet table, and a cleaning means which cleans the table after feeding the reverse current. CONSTITUTION:A disc pad 6 is rotated and after its passing through the area equipped with an exciting means 7, the disc pad is removed from a magnet table 3 and the removed disc pad itself is transferred to the succeeding stage. Thereafter, the magnet table 3 reaches the area equipped with a demagnetizing means 12 and the residual magnetism is almost completely demagnetized by the demagnetizing means. As a result, a friction material is polished by a polishing grindstone 11 and it is prevented that the abrasion powder containing a megnetic body is strongly sucked to the magnet table 3 surface. The magnet table 3 from which the residual magnetism is dissipated is cleaned by a cleaning means and the abrasion powder by the polishing grindstone 11 of the friction material containing magnetic powder grains is cleaned well. |
