A simplified impregnation process is made possible by the apparatus, in which the impregnation depth achieved and impregnation homogeneity are adjustable as desired and the resin does not come into contact with the atmosphere during the impregnation process so that no solvents are removed from the resin prior to the impregnation process. The apparatus is composed of a plurality of guide rolls (2) and impregnation rods (3) alternately arranged one after the other. The impregnation rods are each furnished with two diametrically arranged grooves (4) which are connected via bore holes to feed lines for pulsed feed of the resin. The impregnation rods can be heated.
