1497874 Sulphur containing derivatives of bis(hydroxymethyl)cyclohexenes and their use as reinforcing additives in elastomers DEUTSCHE GOLDUND SILBER-SCHEIDEANSTALT 24 Jan 1975 [22 April 1974] 3155/75 Heading C2C [Also in Division C3] The invention comprises sulphur containing derivatives of 4,4 - bis(hydroxymethyl)cyclohexenes which are the reaction products of 4,4 - bis(hydroxymethyl)cyclohexenes of Formula I where R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP> and R<SP>4</SP> are independently H 1 CH 3 or phenyl, X represents -CH 2 - or -(CH 2 ) 2 - and R 3 and R 5 , which are only present when X is absent, are independently H 1 CH 3 or phenyl with sulphur, which are mono- or polysulphides formed by addition of the sulphur to the double bond of the cyclohexene ring. The reaction products have application as reinforcing additives in cross linkable elastomer mixtures containing light fillers. |
