The distribution boxes are required in various sizes; by using the modular principle, all the various outer covers and doors can be made from a single, standard insulated plate. The plate has fixing holes accessible from the underside, and chamfered edges. Distribution boxes and their doors may be made from it and with the use of supporting frames. The modular insulated plate can be made of, e.g., a thermoplastic or a reinforced plastic, such as glass fibre-reinforced polyester.
