PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming method in which a seamed part is detected with a substitute for a detection hole or a reflection mark in order to prevent the detection hole of a seamed belt-like photoreceptor from causing a photoreceptive layer to be peeled or in order to prevent the reflection mark for detecting a reflectance from causing a misoperation. SOLUTION: The seamed belt-like electrophotographic photoreceptor is obtained in such a manner that the photoreceptive layer is formed on a sheet- like conductive support and opposite end faces of the sheet are joined. When an image is formed using the seamed belt-like electrophotographic photoreceptor, the seamed part is detected from a reflectance difference between the seamed part and a seamless part to avoid image formation on the seamed part. |
