<p>A two-phase alpha/bea brass contains 62-64% Cu, 1-2% Pb, 0.2-0.5% Al, 0.05-0.2% Sb, =0.6% Sn, =0.6% Fe, =0.3% Ni, =0.3% Si, =0.3% Mn, =0.1% Cr, =0.1% Mg, 0.2% impurities and bal, Zn. The alloy contains 10-20% of the beta-phase. The alloy is gravity or pressure die cast so that the beta-phase content after cooling is 3-7%. The alloy is used for casting parts 1.5-5 mm. thick. The parts obtd. have a very good resistance to dezincification.</p> |
