摘要 <p>A simple light and accurate high frequency cavity resonator is for use with particle accelerators. It is of approx. cylindrical construction, and accommodates cooling or supercooling fluid. The resonator surfaces are finished by a chemical machining process. The resonator is of cylindrical form with two flat hollow end plates (3, 4) welded to a central hollow cylindrical element (9). The cooling fluid has access to the hollow body of the resonator through suitable ducts (10) while the particles being accelerated pass axially along a central path (1) through further ducts (). The unit may be made of niobium.</p>
