Automatic electroplating plant - in which logic circuits operate conveyors and central memory contains data for workholders

The conveyors, workholders, and the process, are controlled in automatic electroplating plants, in which each conveyor has its own logic circuit operating to a basic program; andstored date are used for the workholders and the process. Each workholder is coded with an identification device, which can be interrogated by sensor heads located on the various treatment baths and/or forming part of the conveyor logic circuits; and a central memory store contains operational data available for each workholder after identification. A continuous series of code numbers can be used for the workholders; and/or multiplexing- or bus-systems can be used for the interrogation-, address-, and data- leads. Standard workholders can be used, each with its own programme already stored; and adjustments on the workholders are unnecessary.
