<p>The transport vessel has a rectangular base, four walls at an obtuse angle to it, and a top flange. Two stirrups run parallel to opposite side walls along the flange, swung outwards to allow empty vessels to be nested together, and inwards to support them on top of each other. The sidewalls running parallel to the stirrups (6) have trough-section strengthening ribs (11, 12). The width of the ribs open towards the inside of the vessel tapers towards the bottom, and between their sides at the top supporting faces are provided for the stirrups in the inner position. The design allows an appreciably greater number of vessels to be formed into one stack than is the case with existing designs.</p> |
