The structural facing element comprises at least one column and a lintel which either extends from this column or links columns together. On its underside, the lintel has a groove into which can be inserted the upper edge of a sheet of glass. It is raised towards the top to form a breast-wall whose upper surface contains a groove into which can be inserted the lower edge of a sheet of glass belonging to the next storey of the building.
