Plastics holding and sealing profile - has flexible midsection and stiff sealing and anchoring edges

The contact and sealing arrangement is used for making a sealing connection between two components which can be moved relative to each other. The sealing arrangement is flexible or able to bend. Permanent deformations due to compression are prevented and elastic deformation is limited to a given position. The component consists of a single long slender profile whose cross section has an anchoring part (1) made from stiff plastics material. This profile can be inserted into matching opening of one of the moving parts to be connected. The profile has also a section (6) made from stiff plastics ith projection for sliding sealing contact and engaging with the other component. The middle section of profile is made from flexible plastics connecting the anchoring section with the engaging section. The flexible effect of the middle section ensures the sealing effect.
