Carburettor with warming up system - has throttle depression transfered to secondary air intake by thermal switch

The carburettor is of the compound down draught type. It has a thermostatically operated choke flap situated in the primary air intake. The primary air intake contains a throttle valve actuated by the driver and the secondary air intake contains a throttle located downstream to a venturi and a fuel jet, and opening subject to manifold depression. Depression behind the two throttle flaps increases rapidly as soon as the engine is started to open the choke flap slightly via the depression capsule and to close an electric contact to heat a resistance. The resistance heat acts on a bi-metal disc controlling a depression connection between two channels leading to two pneumatic elements.
