A method includes, during a handover of a user equipment (UE) from a first base station (BS1) to a second base station (BS2), determining at an anchor node at least one properly of a downlink packet flow, and bi-casting downlink packets in the downlink packet flow to BSl and BS2 only when the at least one property of the downlink packet flows is determined to comprise at least one predetermined property. A network node includes means, responsive during a handover of a user equipment (UE) from a first base station (BS1) to a second base station (BS2), for determining at least one property of a downlink packet flow; and means, responsive to the determination, for bi-casting downlink packets in the downlink packet flow to BS1 and BS2 only when the at least one property of the downlink packet flows is determined to comprise at least one predetermined property.
