The bagging machine has a base (1) which supports a central telescopic column (2). This support carries a horizontal base plate (3) which itself carries a number of cradles (4) each able to accommodate a plastic bag (5). The bags are supported at the top end by a collar (6) pulled up by an elastic component (7). Each bag may be locked into position while in use and the counterweight (11) forces the plate (3) downwards, through the tension cable (12). An electro magnet (8) and a sensor (9) measures the contents of each sac and allow the cradles to revolve to cause a second sac to fill.
