<p>The pivoting hammer accessory is for use with spanner and may adopt different forms for use with a brace-spanner, a plane double headed-spanner or a box spanner resp. The accessory pivots about the axis or an extension of the axis of the subject nut or bolt, and applies a hammer-torque through the medium of the primary spanner. In the case of a crank handled brace-spanner (3) the tool (2) has a right angled 'Z' shape with a weight (12) and an axial fork (7) at opposed ends. The fork (7) fits over the brace handle (8) close to the socket head (9) and the accessory (2) is pivoted successively to apply hammer blos to the offset length (10) of the brace (2) handle.</p> |
