The device is connected to one of a set of input/output ports such as universal serial bus1.1by disconnectable cables. The set of input/output ports is connected to a set of connections (1) e.g. cable. The set of connections is combined at the set of input/output ports to obtain required power for powering a portable electronic apparatus. Each input/output port includes a provision for a unitary powering source with specialized unitary power that is lower to the maximum need of the electronic apparatus connected to the device. An independent claim is also included for a method for adapting the power absorbed by a portable electronic apparatus.
