Mortice lock with nut and locking bolt - has successively assembled nut unit and cover plate with bolt

The mechanism of the mortice lock provided with catch and locking bolt is readily assembled. The lock nut is assembled with its spring and the whole assembly is tightly held. The lock nut is not able to tilt and it is rotated by a plunger into its initial position. It is th en secured against unwinding by the lock arm stop pin which is inserted only after assembly of the nut and spring arrangement. The lock cover plate is fitted after that and the plunger is retracted. A second plunger is provided which lifts out the lock tumbler and the locking bolt provided with key is pushed into position when the lock cover plate is fitted.
