<p>1494562 Load handling pallet ALEXANDER SCHOELLER & CO AG 23 Jan 1975 [24 Jan 1974] 3086/75 Heading B8H A moulded plastics single or double deck pallet has the or each deck formed from peripheral frame members 11, 12, 13, 14 with integral bearers 2 and a grid-shaped central insert 9 with an integral central bearer 26. Each frame member has a channel-shaped section 18, 19, 21 and 16, 17, 20 corresponding to the or each deck with the open end of said section facing inwardly of the pallet, to be closed by peripheral members 22, 23 of the respective deck, and the webs 20, 21 are inwardly inclined towards the fork receiving apertures of the pallet. The bearers have internal reinforcing ribs 34, (35), Fig. 8 (not shown), with those of the central bearer 26 corresponding to the grid of the deck, and those bearers at the centre of each side are formed partially with the insert and partially with the respective frame members and are assembled when the frame members and the insert are assembled by welding or adhesive. In a modification, Figs. 16, 17 (not shown), a reinforcing element (36) of metal or glass fibre is located in each frame member before its assembly with the insert. In a further modification, Fig. 25 (not shown), the peripheral surfaces 22, 23 are extended to close the parts of the bearers formed integral with the insert to provide additional reinforcement.</p> |
