FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, particularly experimental traumatology and orthopedics, and can be applied to simulation of femoral bone defect in animals for researches on osteointegration and various osteoplasty techniques. Ground of the method consists in intramedullary rod conducting followed by circular incision; lateral lip of femur being saved. ^ EFFECT: model obtaining, which is adequate to human femoral bone defects by its clinical course and roentgenologic appearance.
