A composition processable into a usable article such as, for example, a flexible, plastic-based, microporous battery separator, is formed by admixing a polymeric resinous binder, a plasticizer, an inorganic filler, a solvent and a nonsolvent. The composition is then extruded and calendered into a relatively thin sheet, passed through an extraction water bath, and dried. |
