<p>Marine vessel is provided with means for processing soft or hard wood, waste wood or wood waste or perennial plants to produce finished or semi-finished cellulose products for papermaking. Pref. the means include devices for removal of bark, disintegration of the wood or plant material, steaming or preliminary impregnation, de-gassing and digesting of the raw material. Moreover, the means may include devices for bleaching, drying, cooling, pressing and packaging of the processed materials. Also the means may include devices for concentration of the fibre suspension, digesting the liquor and devices for liquor recovery. Transport costs are dispensed with.</p> |
