1521399 Radiography J GAUDEL 16 Dec 1976 [30 Dec 1975] 52686/76 Heading H5R To transfer film cassettes through an X-ray exposure position a chain of hinged flat cassetteholding boxes 2, possibly joined to be endless, is run round at least a pair of parallel prismatic drums 7, 8, having side equal to a chain link and axes spaced by one or more links; the chain between the drums runs parallel to and as close as possible under the patient-supporting plane 14, a half step of drum rotation as in Fig. 3 then increasing the spacing; optionally on its return path it may pass round one or more similar drums 16. The motorized step drive is taken to any one drum (Fig. 1, not shown). The drums, preferably laterally flanged to retain the boxes, may be, e.g. triangular and arranged in a triangle, or square and arranged in a square (Figs. 6, 7, not shown), the axes being supported in a framework.
|
