<p>1508880 2 - Methoxybenzamides SYNTHELABO 17 Dec 1975 [18 Dec 1974 14 Oct 1975 13 Nov 1975] 51635/75 Heading C2C Novel compounds (I) (including salts, racemates and isomers thereof) in which n is 1 or 2; R 1 represents a cycloalkylalkyl radical of formula (OH 2 ) m -CH-A-, a phenylalkyl radical of formula (in which m is an integer from 2 to 5, A is a linear or branched chain alkylene chain of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and R 4 is hydrogen, halogen, trifluoromethyl, or alkyl or alkoxy of 1 to 3 carbon atoms), CNCH 2 -CH 2 -, CH=C-CH 2 -, or R 2 is chlorine, SO 2 R 5 (in which R 5 is alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms), or SO 2 NR 6 R 7 (in which, R 6 and R 7 , which are identical or different, represent, independently of one another, hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms); and R 3 is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms; are made by acylating amines (III) which are themselves obtained by reducing nitro compounds (IV) which are in turn prepared by reacting ketones (V) with MeNO 2 . Pharmaceutical preparations useful in treating nervous and psychosomatic disorders contain (I) as active ingredient. Administration is orally, parenterally or rectally.</p> |
