A mobile power tool for railway maintenance has a drive shaft connected to a gearbox where the drive is split to alternative heads. These can take the form of a straight drive to a socket headed nut runner or a right angled drive to a similar socket. A pivot with a locking key allows the gearbox to turn through 180 degrees permitting selection of the two tool heads. In this way the machine can be used for tightening sleeper bolts and fishplate bolts in turn.
