<p>The coat hanger (1) has several individually pivotable bars (9) to support pairs of trousers or slacks etc. The hanger (1) is of the conventional bow shape (2, 3) with a centrally attached suspension hook (4) and the bars (9) cantilever at vertical intervals from a straight downward extension (5) of one bow extremity. The bow extension (5) constitutes an axle about which the arms (9) can pivot. The hanger (1) and the bars (9) may be of tubular form and the bars (9) may be mounted by means of 'T) shaped sleeves (6, 7, 8, 10, 11). The arms (10) of each sleeve are threaded (11) over the axle (5) and the bars (9) fit in the stem (7) sockets (8). The end of the axle may be internally threaded to receive a retaining bolt (12) with a knurled head (13). The suspension hook (4) may be offset to counter the out-of-balance weight.</p> |
