The support (1) is used by a person working in a semi-standing position. It comprises a frame (2) of tubular construction, having parallel sides (5, 6) joined at the top (7) and an enlarged base (8, 9, 10). A rest (3), also of tubular construction, pivots (11, 12) on this frame and has an enlarged base (13, 14, 15). This rest can fold against the frame when not used. The seat (16) is attached by a pivot (19) to a U-shaped stirrup (18). It fits over the parallel section of the frame and can slide along it for height adjustment. When folded down for use, the back clamps against the frame to secure it.
