<p>The tubular frame for seat back rests comprises vertical frame members (14, 15, 19, 20), each consisting of at least two parts which are connected together by a resiliently pliable rod (21, 22) or a sprung tube so that, whilst being sufficiently rigid to support the spring upholstery of the car seat back or the like; the back rest frame itself has a certain inherent resilience. Different spring characteristics can be achieved by positioning the pliable rods in the lower, centre or upper area of the frame. The tubular support frame pref. comprises an upper and lower U-shaped half frame with the spring rods attached to the facing pairs of arms.</p> |
