PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly accurate and efficient hard-to-cut material processing method capable of eliminating the necessity of forming a "tab part" for cutting a hard-to-cut material.SOLUTION: A processing method for forming one or a plurality of components P from one hard-to-cut material W includes the first step of executing processing so that an outer size can be larger than the shape of a component by a water jet including a jet nozzle for injecting high-pressure fluid to form an intermediate workpiece (P1), and the second step of processing the intermediate workpiece put through the first step into the shape of the component. The first step is a step of processing carried out to distribute machining allowance on an outer periphery to be removed in the second step to be approximately uniform without forming any tab part for holding the intermediate workpiece in the second step on the outer periphery of the intermediate workpiece.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
