The present invention relates to a digital image processing board which checks whether a digital image signal in a differential form is valid datum and supplies a driving voltage to an image signal processing unit only when the digital image signal is the valid datum, thereby enabling power consumption to be decreased. The digital image processing board comprises: a signal input unit which receives a digital image signal in a differential form via an input terminal, and activates and outputs a hot plug detection signal when an external device is connected to the input terminal; a microcontroller which detects a time at which the hot plug detection signal is activated, activates a timing control signal when a first delay time has elapsed after the time at which the hot plug detection signal was activated, and transmits the timing control signal to the signal input unit; and an image signal processing unit which, when a driving voltage is supplied, performs image processing on the digital image signal received from the signal input unit and transmits the image processed signal to a display panel. The signal input unit transmits the digital image signal to the image signal processing unit and the microcontroller when a second delay time has elapsed after the time at which the timing control signal was activated. When supplying the driving voltage to the image signal processing unit after checking whether the digital image signal is the valid datum, the microcontroller samples and quantizes the digital image signal at predetermined time intervals, calculates an input envelope for quantization code, and, when the input envelope is identical to any one of a plurality of reference envelopes, determines the digital image signal to be valid datum and performs control so that the driving voltage is supplied to the image signal processing unit. |
