Correlation calculation is performed on a received signal of a GPS satellite signal as a positioning signal based on a given predicted frequency. Then, an erroneous frequency of the predicted frequency is estimated using carrier phase of the GPS satellite signal based on a result of the correlation calculation. Then, whether or not the erroneous frequency satisfies a predetermined allowable condition is determined, and whether or not an electronic apparatus is in a non-translational movement state in which the electronic apparatus moves while changing the location thereof with respect to a body of the user is determined. |

1. A method of controlling an electronic apparatus that is carried by a user, receives a positioning signal, and calculates a location, comprising:
performing correlation calculation on the received positioning signal based on a given predicted frequency; estimating an erroneous frequency of the predicted frequency using carrier phase of the positioning signal based on a result of the correlation calculation; determining whether or not the erroneous frequency satisfies a predetermined allowable condition; determining whether or not the electronic apparatus is in a non-translational movement state in which the electronic apparatus moves while changing the location thereof relative to a body of the user using a result of the determination; and changing a method of controlling location calculation or changing display control if the electronic apparatus is determined to be in the non-translational movement state. |
