Connecting rods deburring machine - has rotating cutting tool to remove burr and produce conical furrow at each notch corner

Internal notches (4) in the face (5) of the bore (2) of a connecting rod (1) have burred edges after the bore has been machined. The deburring machine consists of a rotating cutting tool (6), mounted in a tool holder, which deburrs the notches as the connecting rod is held on a support frame by pins, which locate into the bore holes. The machine is operated in such a way as to not only remove the burrs but also produce a conical furrow at each corner of the notch and an inclined rim along the edge of the notch.
