<p>The design concerns a seat belt webbing take-up spool with loose seating on the shaft and an additional device to eliminate rattling noises due to the loose seating. For an absolutely safe operation of the take-up mechanism it is necessary that the spool should have a loose fit on the shaft. To take up the play between the spool bore an and the shaft the design proposes to provide the spool (2) seated in bracket (1) with the rattle-preventing device. One of the faces (5) of the spool extending beyond the bracket (1) has an opening (6) into which the tapered elastic ring (9) reaches. The ring rotates on a pin (8) fitted to cover (7), which is screwed to the side of bracket (1). The centreline of the spool and the centreline of the pin (8) are not in line, so that the tapered elastic ring rests with its tapered surface at one peripheral point of the bore edge (6).</p> |
