Continuous compounder for plastics or rubber powder, as in Parent Patent, has a stationary casing and a drivable homogeniser whose surface which cooperates with the casing, has an undulatory surface. The bottom and the homogeniser are formed by >=1 pair of superposed bars. The undulatory surface is located in the 2 opposite surfaces of the pair of bars and extends across or obliquely w.r.t. the longitudinal axis. The mobile one of the bars is driven by a crank drive to execute a rotary movement of its corrugation ridges in the associated corrugation valleys of the other bar. In this addition, the mobile bar is connected, in each end region, with a crank drive both of which have different crank dias (rk', rk"). That crank drive with smaller dia. (rk') is connected to the mobile bar at its discharge end whilst the other drive is connected to the mobile bar in its intake end region, via a guide enabling it to perform axial displacement. A relatively large intake vol. is available when the crank drives are in upper "dead point" position, the discharge vol. being smaller than the take-up vol. As a result moulding cpd. with low apparent density and high air content can be optimally processed.
|
