The elevator arm is pivot mounted on a support and pivots about a vertical shaft. The arm forms a guide for a carrier for the elevator, both parts of the carrier being hinged together on a horizontal shaft. The front part of the carrier runs on two rollers on the elevator arm, whilst the back carrier part runs on another roller on the elevator arm. The bottom of the arm is curved to run almost horizontal for a short way. The pusher or drag bar has a cable which runs over rollers. The cable touches the axle of a deflector roller over which runs a cable anchored on a support on the arm.
